關於地景餐盤
FFFILO 團隊一直在思索，如何藉由設計將這座島嶼的魅力，透過不同的形態傳遞給更多人。
地景餐盤是我們以最為熟悉的「食」文化，展開的第一組系列商品。當團隊討論到飲食習慣時發現蛋餅、薯條、義大利麵等各國料理同時出現於同一張餐桌，是不分背景全部成員都能共感的日常景色。稍加探討就能聯想到這關係到多元的歷史與豐沛的自然資源。我們認為這習以為常的生活樣貌是獨特、有趣且值得分享的台灣面貌,於是啟動了這項專案。
將設計概念轉化至商品的過程，設計團隊與在地工坊合作，逐步認識了「陶」這項對環境極為敏感的材料。成分比、溫度、濕氣每一個細節都影響著最終的餐盤樣貌，這也促使團隊重新思考地景餐盤作為商品對於環境的責任。
最終團隊將陶器製成時些許的色差.形變納入設計考量，使地景餐盤融入陶器特性,這些反映著製成環境所產生的視覺誤差成為了餐盤的獨特記號，每一件餐盤具備實用的機能並同時展現材質與手工所賦予的獨特樣貌。如同這座島嶼一般,充滿溫度與獨特的魅力。
The FFFILO team has always explored ways to convey the charm of this island to a broader audience through different design forms.
The Landscape Plate series is our first collection, rooted in the familiar culture of dining. While discussing local eating habits, we realized that having Taiwanese egg crepes, French fries, and Italian pasta all on the same table is a shared everyday scene. Upon closer look, this reflects a rich history and abundant natural resources. Believing that this common lifestyle is unique, intriguing, and worth sharing, we launched this project.
In translating our design concept into a physical product, we collaborated with local workshops and gradually came to understand ceramics—a material highly sensitive to its environment. Every detail, from material ratios and temperature to humidity, shapes the final look of the plate. This prompted our team to rethink the environmental responsibility of the Landscape Plate as a commercial product.
Ultimately, we embraced the slight color variations and distortions that occur during the firing process, allowing the plates to reflect the natural characteristics of clay. These subtle visual differences, shaped by the production environment, have become the unique signature of each piece. Every plate serves a practical purpose while showcasing the distinct character of the material and craftsmanship. Much like the island itself, they are full of warmth and unique charm.
From the perspective of the island, the Landscape Plate tells the story of this land through local production.
